Please Note:
- The exhibitor must own all entries; exhibitors are not permitted to enter and show animals they do not own.
- All sheep entered should be registered with the Valais Blacknose Society.
- The Valais Blacknose Society is committed to fair and unbiased judging at all events. To support this, VBS judges must not place any sheep with which they have had recent personal, financial, or professional involvement. This includes animals they have bred, sold, leased, or had a financial interest in since 1st January of the previous year. We ask all members to uphold and respect this standard to ensure fairness across all competitions and to avoid entering animals known to the allocated judge wherever possible.
- Lambs entered in lamb classes must be born in the same calendar year as the show, unless otherwise stated in the show schedule.
- Agricultural Show classes are open to all Valais Blacknose breeders; however, the Agricultural Show committee’s rules and regulations may stipulate that exhibitors must be members of the Valais Blacknose Society.
- Show prizes will be presented to all exhibitors; however, in some instances, additional breed society prizes may be reserved for members only, in which case this should be highlighted in the show competing schedules, and members will be required to provide their membership numbers to claim prizes.
- Please see individual show pages for specific Valais Blacknose Sheep class categories.
