CHARITY LAMB & SEMEN AUCTION

On Friday, August 23rd at 8pm VBS will host a Charity Lamb and Sheep Semen Auction as part of the Blacknose Beauties National Show & Sale.

The auction will feature two registered Valais Blacknose lambs and three lots of semen with all proceeds going to this year’s Charity chosen for us by our Guest and Charity auctioneer Cammy Wilson of ‘The Sheep Game’. The ‘My Name’5 Doddie Foundation’ was set up by Doddie Weir himself after being diagnosed with MND in 2106. Following his death in 2022 the foundation stays committed to funding research to find effective treatments to motor neuron disease, their goal: A WORLD FREE OF MND.

We are extremely grateful to Mr. Jamie Wood of Valais Blacknose Sheep Northumberland and Mr Tom Blackwood of Ayrshire Valais Blacknose for their more than generous donations of a lamb from each of their prize-winning flocks and to Mr Steve Dace of Valais Blacknose Sheep Cheshire for semen from three well-bred Rams.

He is a big Ram with good wool. He has Bred Maximum points lambs and also is the sire to Prendwick Killian who won The Royal Highland & The Royal Welsh.

The semen is stored at Farmgene in Shrewsbury and can be sent to any AI centre.
