The Valais Blacknose Society is delighted to welcome Zoe Hatton as our new Society Secretary.

Zoe brings a wealth of experience from both the sheep industry and the veterinary profession. Most recently, she served as Regional Manager for the National Sheep Association alongside her role as Business Practice Manager for a group of veterinary practices. Her professional background has given her extensive knowledge of the livestock sector and a strong understanding of the opportunities and challenges facing sheep breeders nationwide.

Away from her professional roles, Zoe keeps a small flock of Valais Blacknose sheep and is currently based in Rutland. She is planning a move to Kent in the near future, where she and her flock will continue their Valais Blacknose journey. As an active breeder herself, Zoe understands firsthand the passion and commitment that Society members bring to the breed.

Outside of work, Zoe enjoys hunting and shooting and has a keen interest in countryside pursuits. She is looking forward to supporting the Council and the wider membership and to meeting members at Society events throughout the year.

Speaking about her appointment, Zoe said:

“I am delighted to be joining the Valais Blacknose Society as Secretary and look forward to working with the Council and supporting members across the organisation. I am excited to meet everyone at events throughout the year and to contribute to the continued growth and success of the breed in the UK.”

Please join us in giving Zoe a warm welcome as she begins her new role with the Society.
