It is two weeks until our National Show and we have been inundated with entries. 191 sheep are entered to the show to be graded by the Oberwalliser Schwarznasen Schafzuchverband Judges Josef Eyer and Stefan Schnidrig. Grading of the sheep will take place on the afternoon of Friday 24th August, followed by the Society AGM and then a BBQ (tickets available online or from the Society Stand at the show). Saturday morning, the first five in each class will be awarded rosettes and a bell to the winner. Any sheep that gains maximum points, will also win a special rosette to mark the achievement. The afternoon will start with the young handlers and then the female, male and overall champions. The sale will follow this with 74 sheep put forward to the sale and an up to date list of sheep for sale will be available from the Society Stand on Friday evening.
We are really looking forward to it and apart from the biggest shows in Switzerland, we haven’t seen such a large gathering of the these amazing sheep.
Bring on Friday 24th August!
